Marketing and Communications Co-Chair: Asia Bernabo

Asia is a second-year Bachelor of Commerce student and a returning WIBA member. She has previously served as a First-Year Representative and is excited to be a Marketing Co-Chair this year. Asia is passionate about empowering and inspiring women to take on leadership roles and is excited to work alongside the WIBA executive team to help create and promote opportunities for women within the Dalhousie network.

Marketing and Communications Co-Chair: Sophie Rose-Shuker

Sophie is in her third year of the Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program, majoring in Marketing with a minor in Economics. She completed her first work term with Dalhousie’s Management Career Services as Projects and Events Assistant in April 2023. Sophie is looking forward to being a part of the executive team and collaborating with Asia and Maya as Marketing Co-Chairs.

President: Stephanie Wooden

Stephanie is a fourth-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce program majoring in Accounting and completing a certificate in Disability Management. Stephanie completed her first two co-ops at KPMG in Audit and Tax and will be returning to the firm for her third co-op in Audit. This will be Stephanie's fourth year involved with WIBA and her third year as part of the executive team. Stephanie is excited to be leading the society as this year’s President to advocate for the importance of women in business!

Treasurer: Zoey Wang

Zoey is a fourth-year accounting student in the Bachelor of Commerce program, who completed her second co-op on the Tax team at Emera. She will be completing her third co-op on the accounting team at Stingray Radio. Zoey has been a general member since 2021, and she is excited to join the executive team as a treasurer in her final year at Dalhousie.

VP Internal: Emma Sundloev 

Emma is a third-year commerce student, majoring in Managing People and Organizations. Emma has been a part of WIBA since her first year at Dal as a general member, and then as an international representative in her second year. Emma completed her first co-op as a Business Analyst at the RBC Innovation Hub. She is an international student at Dalhousie and is very passionate about DEI, Mental health, and creating a supportive and empowering community. Emma is very excited to join the exec team as VP internal this upcoming year and support the growth and expansion of WIBA!

VP Engagement: Emily Mailman

Emily is a fourth year Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Marketing. She is completing her final work term at the IWK Children's Hospital as Business Development Officer. This year will be Emily’s third year on WIBA, and she looks forward to connecting with all of the wonderful women in WIBA this year!

Conference Co-Chair: Hannah Richmond

Hannah is a third-year student in the Bachelor of Commerce program majoring in Accounting. Hannah completed her first co-op at EY as a staff accountant. She will return to the firm this fall for her next co-op in audit. This will be Hannah's third year with WIBA and her second year as part of the conference team. Hannah is thrilled to work with Jacy and Charlie to plan this year's conference!

Conference Co-Chair: Charlie Comeau

Charlie is a fourth-year Commerce student majoring in Finance, completing certificates in Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, and Fintech & Financial Innovation. She is completing her third co-op at Deloitte alongside their Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory team. Charlie is thrilled to collaborate with a strong team of women to plan the 2024 WIBA Annual Conference and looks forward to empowering women in business within the Dalhousie community.

Conference Co-Chair: Jacy Deering

Jacy is in her third year completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Marketing while fulfilling three certificates in Quantitative Finance, Financial Accounting and Leadership. Jacy’s first Co-op placement was at Bulwark Cider & Muwin Estate as their Sales and Marketing Associate. Jacy has been a part of the WIBA team since her first year at Dalhousie. She first started as a First-Year Representative and last year, her role was a Conference Representative. Jacy is thrilled to continue her journey in WIBA as a Conference Co-Chair. Her goal is to organize an unforgettable conference alongside Hannah Richmond and Charlie Comeau to inspire females to be bold in the business industry.

Corporate Affairs Co-Chair: Katie Wuotila

Katie is a varsity athlete at Dalhousie in the Commerce, Co-op program majoring in Finance. After work terms at Emera and KPMG, Katie secured her final co-op in Capital Markets with Scotiabank. While being a student-athlete, Katie sits on three executive teams at Dalhousie societies, loves to read, and is looking forward to traveling after graduation. This is Katie's fourth year with WIBA and her second as an executive.

Corporate Affairs Co-Chair: Taylor Williamson

Taylor is a third-year Bachelor of Commerce Co-op student with a major in finance. She completed her first co-op term at Emera with their Risk Management team and is looking forward to pursuing a career in capital markets. This is Taylor’s third year being involved with WIBA, and she is excited to bring her passion for building a strong community of women in business and finance roles to WIBA this year.

Strategic Growth
Coordinator: Gulizar Yuksel

Liz, an international student from Turkey, is about to begin her third year as a Bachelor of Commerce student with a major in finance. She recently completed her first co-op term at RBC as an Operations Analyst and is eager to continue her involvement in the company. Liz is particularly enthusiastic about working with a supportive community of women to organize events and facilitate connections among students. She is excited to begin her new position as Strategic Growth Coordinator where she can introduce fresh ideas while providing support to the society.

Strategic Growth Coordinator: Alessia Price

Alessia is a third year Bachelor of Commerce Co-op student, with a major in marketing. She completed her first co-op placement at a marketing agency in downtown Halifax, working alongside the accounts team. Alessia has been a part of WIBA for all three of her years at Dalhousie, starting as a first-year representative and now a strategic growth coordinator. She is looking forward to the upcoming year and excited to be a part of the WIBA team.

Maya Russell, a marketing major in her fourth year, serves as the society's marketing director. She enjoys the dynamic, fast-paced world of marketing and has been a passionate WIBA member since her second year. Maya is taking on this leadership position with the intention of leaving a lasting impression because she is passionate about empowering women in business.
